Annual Chocolate Ball (Not offered in 2011)
On Saturday, November 6th, 2010 the Oakdale Chamber held their last, for now, Chocolate Ball. It was their 20th with the theme The Twenties, "All That Jazz!" It was an inclusive evening of delectable chocolate and champagne buffet, hosted bar, heavy hors d'oeuvres by O'Brien's Market, Jazz Music by Martin Martinez, fabulous casino night (included $1,000 in playing chips), silent auction, and raffle prizes. Most of the attendees came dressed in their black ties, cocktail dress, and/or Twenties theme dress (Chocolate Ball Invitation 2010). It was determined by the Board of Directors and staff that the Chocolate Ball wasn't meeting our Core Values or business direction and that it's just a "Fun Event." It has been discussed to possibly offer it every other year as a treat to our members and guests. We will be sure to keep you posted.
