The 68th Annual Oakdale Chamber of Commerce Awards Dinner, "Guiding Light" was held Friday, January 17th, 2014 from 6PM - 9PM and recognized outstanding individuals, organizations, and businesses that have contributed their time and efforts to enhance our community in 2013.

Also recognized were the out-going Oakdale Board of Directors, an introduction of the in-coming Oakdale Chamber Board of Directors, and the Graduating Oakdale Leadership group. There are usually 250 attendees at this event; including board members, city and county officials.

2014 Annual Ag Scholarship Luncheon

2014 Business & Youth Scholarship Program
(Thursday, April 3rd, 2014)
Oakdale (95361) Senior Students complete a Business & Youth Ag Scholarship Application or Business & Youth Business/Vocational Scholarship Application for possible scholarship consideration through the Oakdale Chamber of Commerce by deadline, Friday, February 21st. Then on Thursday, April 3rd, the Oakdale Chamber gives an opportunity to students to job shadow with a business associate that is in the field they are interested in pursuing. A luncheon is held later that day at the Gene Bianchi Community Center (located at 110 S. Second Ave., Oakdale). During the luncheon, the participating students do a presentation on what they have learned from their mentor. A panel of judges evaluate their applications, their presentations, and their mentors also evaluate them to determine the highest scoring of the scholarships.
Six scholarships are offered totaling $4,000; four business and two agricultural. Have your student and/or a student you know apply! It's a wonderful learning program that allows students an opportunity to see what they may want to pursue while having the opportunity to possibly be presented with a scholarship!
2014 Concerts in the Park
(July 18th - August 29, 2014)
Don't miss this year's Concerts in the Park...Come one, come all to Concerts in the Park in 2014! The concerts are Friday evenings from July 18th - August 29th, 2014, 6:30PM -8:30PM! The concerts are held at Dorada Park (Play Park), behind the Chamber and community pool, A Street and 2nd Avenue, Oakdale, CA. Concerts are free and are a great family-friendly event. No glass bottles allowed in the park.

2014 Taste of Oakdale

The 6th Annual Taste of Oakdale will be on Tuesday, August 26, 2014 from 5-8 pm.
Tickets are $25 in advance, $35 day of event. Tickets can be purchased at: Oakdale Chamber office and Oakdale locations of: Bank of the West, Oak Valley Community Bank, Oakdale Leader & Valley First Credit Union.
During the event, patrons cast their votes for their favorite vendors. The 2014 votes went to the following vendors for “The Best of.”

Oakdale Chamber Golf Classic

Oakdale Chamber of Commerce hosted a new event; a golf tournament at the Oakdale Golf & Country Club on Monday, September 8th.
This was a great networking event between Oakdale Chamber members and Oakdale businesses. The tournament gave companies chance to reward favorite clients, market to potential customers and support Chamber initiatives to strengthen the economic vitality of Oakdale.
As an added bonus, the Chamber of Commerce broke businesses in the region into various sectors for some competitive fun; called the Challenge Cup. We will establish an annual legacy of who the best golf team is by sector.

Shop Local Expo will be held at the Gene Bianchi Community Center and admission is FREE for the public!The event will be a day of shopping, fun, and community where customers can shop all of their favorite businesses and discover some new favorites, all in one place.
Businesses owners will meet fellow owners or managers and build new business relationships, and, most importantly, also meet prospective customers. This event gives local businesses and Chamber Members the chance to showcase their products and services in a fun and inviting atmosphere.
The show gives all types of members and Oakdale businesses an opportunity to participate in a trade show environment. We want the public to know what you have to offer to increase your visibility and future sales. Items are also available for purchase from some of the vendors. This event supports our “Buy Local” campaign.
